With the effects of the subprime mortgage crisis hitting hard, Virginia Mortgage Fraud is on the rise. The Real Estate Market as a whole has gone down significantly in recent months and has negatively affected Real Estate Buyers and Real Estate Sellers. What is causing this rise in Virginia Mortgage Fraud across the state? Let's look at the facts. The last few years, Real Estate Agents multiplied. Up until the last year, there were more Real Estate Agents than ever. In fact, almost everyone picked up a Real Estate License and tried their hand at selling houses. As easy as it was to sell houses, why not? All you had to do was show a few people a house and it was sold relatively quickly. Over the last year, this has changed dramatically. Housing prices have plummeted and this caused the subprime mortgage crisis. When people got turned upside down on their houses, they soon started foreclosing on homeowners by the bunches. All of these factors, combined with a downturn in the economy have helped to completely change the Real Estate Industry. All of the same agents that were easily flourishing a couple of years ago are starving now. They're forced to live on the meager savings that they stashed away for a rainy day. In today's market, it is much more difficult to make a living selling houses. Think about a Real Estate Agent's job for a second. Do they get a salary of any kind? Do they get a weekly paycheck if they don't sell a house? Of course not! This means that they actually have to sell something in order to make any money. If you don't sell houses, you don't eat. In today's Real Estate Market, it's not uncommon to go six months without closing on a deal. This kind of Real Estate Market tends to harbor a lot of dishonest practices. Real Estate Agents without any integrity choose between not being able to provide for their families or honesty. Many times, they make the only decision they believe they can and commit Virginia Mortgage Fraud. With a lack of viable options to close on houses, Real Estate Agents got desperate. They started trying to push mortgages through that were unethical. Recently, homebuyers started to pick up on this trend. They started to lose trust in many Real Estate Agents and find their own mortgages. This lack of trust has really hurt the Virginia Real Estate Market. As if homebuyers needed another reason to not use a Real Estate Agent. Real Estate Agents have slowly started to regain the trust of Home Buyers and Home Sellers that they lost during this period. The only way to do that is to tell the customers upfront of your intentions. Tell them right off the bat that no shady dealings will take place. Once this becomes a common practice with Real Estate Brokers, the public will start to trust them more. When this happens, Virginia Mortgage Fraud will slowly start to decline. At the present time it is still going on, but many people are more aware of it. Eventually the problem will correct itself and the Real Estate Market will be all good again. |
