"A Review of Barack Obama's Real Estate Ties"

For many people who are watching the presidential race, they are interested in the character of those running, which includes Senator and Presidential hopeful, Barack Obama. Of course Real Estate, including the Buying Industry and the Selling Industry have been at the top of everyone's mind in the past few months, and believe it or not, it appears that Barack Obama has his own Real Estate Ties. Are they legitimate? Well, that is left for the voters to decide this November. The issue at hand when it comes to a review of Barack Obama's Real Estate Ties is his association with Antoin Rezko, who happens to be the creator of a Real Estate Development Company in the Chicago area. He has had ties to other politicians in the past and has even been brought to court on charges of influence-peddling. Allegedly he and Stuart Levine pressured or "demanded" that one firm pay a fee or give to a public official, Blagojevich, $1.5 million. It's easy to see that perhaps Rezko was not someone that Barack Obama wanted to be affiliated with. However, in 2005, Obama and the wife of Rezko went on to purchase properties that were adjacent to each other. According to the senator, this was purely by accident. A few months after Obama's purchase, he decided that he wanted a yard that was a bit bigger and went on to purchase a small piece of land from Rezko, paying $104,500 for it, although the value of the piece of land was only worth $40,500. When asked about this purchase, Obama said that he felt it was fair to pay this price, since it was the amount of a sixth of the entire lot, so he paid a sixth of the original price, which was $625,000. Not only was there the issue of the land purchase when it comes to exploring Obama's Real Estate Ties, but there is more. Obama also paid for a fence to separate the properties and although the code of the city required for Rezko to pay for the fence, Obama paid for it in full. He also has been paying landscapers to not only mow his lawn, but the lawn of the Rezko's. Although he has said he merely forgot to ask the Rezko family to pay their share, one has to wonder if that is really the truth. Obama has said that he was never aware of the troubles Rezko went through back in 2005 and that he works to stay with boundaries that are very ethical. However, there was over $11,000 contributed to Obama's federal campaign account by Rezko. Although Obama went on to take that money and donate it to charity, it still does raise quite a bit of speculation about Barack Obama's Real Estate Ties. Voters may find themselves wondering about Obama's Real Estate during this volatile election when the economy is in such a bad state, and how it may affect Property Buyers or Property Sellers. Well, it appears that there are some ties there that are not so wonderful for the senator who still declares he is "lily-white." Although it is still not clear that he has done anything that was wrong, it still may leave voters wondering what is really behind this whole situation. Personally we don't think this was that serious, heck we're americans. What would life be like without ever making any mistakes.
